Speaking during a recent episode of the Ebro Show on Apple Music, the “Unavailable” crooner emphasized that while he acknowledges the prowess of American stars in their respective genres, he remains unchallenged in Afrobeats.

“I can’t sing trap better than Gunna or Young Thug, or sing R&B better than Chris Brown, but nobody can sing Afrobeats like me,” Davido confidently stated.

The singer, also known as OBO, explained that his expertise in Afrobeats is the reason he integrates the genre into all his international collaborations.

“One of the good things that American artistes like about collaborating with me is that, it’s either we meet in the middle or you just do it my way — Afrobeats,” he added.

Davido also revealed his strong working relationship with American R&B star Chris Brown, noting that the duo has recorded more than 20 songs together. “We could put out two albums right now,” he said.
