Diamond Bank Plc has added 30 Nigerians to the list of millionaires in the country at its DiamondXtra June Mid-Year Draw. Three lucky winners also emerged from a targeted draw for the Bank’s customers inside the Cantonment.
In a release made available to the press, Diamond Bank stated that the 30 customers that were made millionaires through its Mid-Year live draw that held at the Ikeja Military Cantonment, Lagos, is a reflection of its commitment to grow the financial asset value of its loyal customers.
The event which was witnessed by industry stakeholders, customers, potential customers, shareholders, journalists, management of the Bank and top military officers, saw many customers won and cart away various cash prizes.
Diamond Bank’s chief spokesperson, Ayona Trimnell, stated that DiamondXtra draw is one of the ways that the Bank rewards its loyal customers. According to her, the unique customer reward scheme is tied to the DiamondXtra account proposition, which aims at stirring and promoting a savings culture among Nigerians.
“Apart from rewarding customers for their loyalty to the Bank, the scheme encourages savings and helps in driving and deepening financial inclusion in the economy”, Ayona stated.
Speaking at the event, Aishah Ahmad, Divisional Head, Consumer and Privilege Banking stated that since the Bank launched the DiamondXtra Reward Scheme, it has given its numerous customers the unique privilege to enjoy multiple benefits on one account.
She said: “Diamond Bank is focused on creating mutually beneficial relationships between the customers and the Bank and with this promo, we are giving back to our customers who have stayed true to what the account aims to achieve. We have monthly draws where we pick 15 millionaires and we have the targeted draw which is drawn from smaller communities to give more people the chance of winning. For this edition, our targeted draw is from within the cantonment cluster”.
To qualify for the monthly draw, Aishah stated that a customer is to maintain a minimum monthly balance of N5,000.00 while additional deposits will count as multiple entries and increase the customer’s chances of winning.
In his keynote address, the brigade commander who was represented by Colonel Ibikunle Ajose, stated that Diamond Bank’s initiative in holding the draws in the military cantonment and putting smiles on the faces of people whose loved ones risked their lives in noble service for their country is heartwarming. He urged the bank to continue its good work and stressed the need for the Bank to extend the goodwill to other sections of the military community.
DiamondXtra was launched in 2008 by Diamond Bank to reward its loyal customers. The Bank has paid out over N4 billion to winners and has allocated N600 million for winners this year.
Some of the customers that won N1 million at the draws are Nzube Francis Ogbughalu, Oladipupo Sikiru Kareem, Francis Terna Patrick, Ugochukwu Ogba Igwe, Sulaiman Marisco Muhammed, Nasiru Hassan, Elias Darlington Anzaku, Terdoo Maagbe, Titus Chinedu Onwusoro, Mark Chukwunwike Okoye, Ikpe Joy Irenene, Enamidem `Benjamin Etuk, Okpe Ikechukwu Frank, Michael Olabanji and Chidinma Iheukwumere Ekpendu. Three customers who won other cash prizes in the targeted draws for customers in the Cantonment are: Angbulu Amos Sanni, Binta Joy Ogun and Edith Uchenna Agbakuru.
