Unknown Gunmen Attack Enugu Police Station, Abduct Female Cop

A female police officer was abducted after unknown gunmen attacked Umulokpa Police Division in Uzo-Uwani local government area of Enugu State, according to the state police command. The attack occurred in the evening of 9/10/21.

According to the state police public relations officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, the commissioner of police, CP Abubakar Lawal, has ordered the state criminal investigation department and tactical teams of the command to intensify efforts to locate the missing female personnel.

it was gathered that the yet-to-be identified hoodlums, in their numbers, also attacked and vandalized vehicles and other items at the police division.

Ndukwe stated that, “The general public, particularly citizens of the state, have been enjoined to assist the command with credible information and/or intelligence that will lead to the location of the personnel and arrest of the assailants. Such information/intelligence, which will be treated confidentially, can be sent through contact042ppro@gmail.com or by calling 08032003702 or 08075390883.”

Meanwhile, the police in the state have commenced investigations into an alleged murder of a young man identified as Stephen Ajah along Ozalla/Agbani road in Nkanu West LGA by yet-to-be identified armed men.

According to the state PPRO, “The lifeless body of the young man was rushed to the hospital by police operatives, where he was confirmed dead and the corpse deposited in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.”
