The Speaker of Ondo Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, has called on law enforcement agencies to investigate the attack on a vehicle belonging to the lawmaker representing Okitipupa Constituency I in the House, Mr Chris Ayebusiwa, in Akure, the state capital, to bring perpetrators to book
Ayebusiwa had, on Saturday, alleged that his GAC official car was attacked by some hoodlums on Oba Adesida Road, Akure.
The Ondo Assembly lawmaker said that three of his staffers, including the driver and security officer, were inside the vehicle at the time of the attack.
However, Speaker Oladiji, in a statement issued by the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Chief Olatunji Oshati, in Akure on Sunday, described the attack as barbaric.
He expressed displeasure with the development, urging individuals to refrain from pointing fingers at any group.
.
Oladiji, who sympathised with Ayebusiwa on the incident, described the action of the attackers as uncalled for, noting that it was capable of disrupting the existing peace in the state.
