Ogun Assembly Majority Leader Joins Reps’ Race

ABEOKUTA – Adeyinka Mafe, the majority leader of Ogun State House of Assembly has made known his intention to contest the seat of Remo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives in 2019.

Mafe, in a letter of intent, addressed to the Chairman of All Progressives Congress in Sagamu Local Government, said his section of the constituency, Offin was due to represent the constituency at the federal level considering his voting strength.
The lawmaker described the business of lawmaking as the strength of democracy, adding that the only way to deepen democracy is to allow experienced people to legislate for the nation.

He posited that his experience as a member of Sagamu legislative council and two terms at the State Assembly qualified him for the position.

Mafe, a legal practitioner of about 20 years’ experience, also promised to work with the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo who is an indigene of Sagamu Local Government Area to better the lots of the constituency.
The letter read in part, “I believe that Offin Sagamu is long due to represent Remo considering its voting strength and being the seat of the Akarigbo of Remo land.
