The residents of Ohaji Egbema and Owerri West local government areas in Imo State have lamented the unavailability of the electoral officers in their communities disenfranchising them from participating in the 2023 general election.
A few of them who spoke with our correspondent said that until 12:00 pm, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission were yet to be seen at the polling units across the LGAs.
A Facebook user, Don Landers wrote, “No INEC officials here in Owerri West LGA, Imo State.”
Another user, Don Darlington Onyiriuka, said, “No election material in Haji Egbema till now.”
“No electoral materials and officials in all the polling units in Awarra/Ikwerede ward and Assa Obile ward,” Obijuru Kainjidam opined.
