Insecurity: Gov Akeredolu tackles Buhari, says Nigerians now live in fear

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has called on President Muhammadu Buhari over the worsening insecurity situation in the country, stating that Nigerians are now living in fear.

While urging the federal government to urgently do something about it by restoring the hope of the people, the governor said a nation can only flourish in a conducive environment.

Akeredolu stated this on Tuesday while receiving members of the Governing Board of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA)

The governor, who said the insecurity situation has continued unabated in the country, said bandits wreaking havoc in some parts of the country should be properly tagged as terrorists.

“Look at what is happening in Zamfara State. They try to clothe it and call them bandits. They are terrorists.”

Akeredolu also reiterated the need for Nigeria to embrace animal husbandry as a replacement for the open grazing culture being practised by herdsmen.
