I Will Liberate Imo, Says PDP Guber Candidate

The governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State Sen Samuel Anyanwu, has assured his political party stakeholders that they will never regret having him as their party gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming November 11    governorship election in the state.

Anyanwu disclosed this while thanking  PDP leaders and members in Mbaitoli, Onuimo, Okigwe and Ihitte Uboma local government areas for their unflinching support and cooperations over his ambition.

The governorship hopeful who has embarked on a ‘Thank You tour’ across local government in the state also said he was out to ascertain the level of infrastructural decay, deplorable road network in the rural areas.

He appealed to them to partner with him and his running mate so as  to guarantee the safety of Imo citizens.

Anyanwu urged them not to relent in their collective efforts to restore peace in the State, noting that such a vision can only be achieved if everyone could come together.

According to him, “The number of innocent lives wasted in the last three and half years, the APC assumed office is alarming, and called on the people of the state to take their destinies in their hands”.

He maintained that his reason for contesting the governorship position is  not to enrich himself nor to witch-hunt anyone, but to secure Imo state from the stranglehold of a directionless APC administration.

The PDP flag bearer called on Imo people to come out en masse to vote PDP and stop wondering how votes cast would be protected, assuring that no person will ever subvert the mandate given to him.

While assuring the capacity to make Imo Safe again and to revive all dilapidated infrastructures,  the PDP flag bearer therefore charged the youths, women, artisans, the poor and the needy to utilise the opportunity to sack APC.

Responding, on behalf of the LGAs, apex leaders, Barr Julius Onyenaucheya (Mbaitoli), Uwakwe Agonsi (Onuimo), Hon Paul Uche (Okigwe), and Hon Collins Nwachukwu vowed to resist all tricks by the present administration in the state to return to power.

The leaders further enjoined their people to work as a team as the only alternative to restore lasting peace in the state.
