Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc has cleared the air regarding a social media video featuring an assault on two people at one of the bank’s branches in Lagos.
In a statement made available to THE WITNESS on Friday and signed by the Bank’s Divisional Head, Brand & Communications, Mr. Charles Aigbe, the lender said that the two individuals involved were suspected of ‘shoulder surfing’ to steal customer card details at the ATM.
When the security personnel on duty interceded, the suspects attacked and injured him leading to the intervention of the Mobile Policemen at the bank.
The bank, however, clarified that, contrary to allegations, it did not order any violence against any customers and that there was no incidence of the Branch ATM not dispensing cash.
