Outgoing President, Muhammadu Buhari has arrived the Eagle Square where he will hand over power to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the new leader.
The Eagle Square is filled to capacity as lots of African and world leaders stormed the area for Tinubu’s inauguration.
The president arrived at about 9:09 am.
The president took the usual salutation before the commencement of the programme after the national anthem.
Earlier, President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu arrived Eagle Square for his swearing in as the 16th President of Nigeria around 9:47am along with his wife, Oluremi.
He received rapturous welcome on arriving the Eagle Square. The crowd cheered as he arrived.
Those who have arrived so far are former President, Goodluck Jonathan; Aliko Dangote, Jim Ovia, Lai Mohammed, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, Festus Keyamo, Akinwumi Adesina, Femi Otedola, Abdul Samad Rabiu, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries.
Outgoing vice president, Yemi Osinbajo had also arrived. Rwandan President, Paul Kagame and others have also arrived for Tinubu’s inauguration.
Vice-President-elect, Kashim Shettima has also arrived the Eagle Square.
