BANK OF DEATH: FIRST BANK SOAK AWAY PIT DROWNS EIGHT IN LAGOS

 Eight customers at the Akowonjo branch of First Bank in Alimosho local government area of Lagos state yesterday, were drowned in a soak away pit, as the pit collapsed beside the ATM were customers had queued to make withdrawals. The soak away pit we gathered, was poorly constructed beside the ATM, which pressure consistent from the customers led to its collapse.

Police officers on bank guard at First Bank had prevented customers from taking pictures of the ugly incident, as it was alleged that customers phones who attempted taking photos were seized in the process. As at the time of this report, the injured victims had been hospitalized, and were undergoing treatment.

Calls placed to the Head of Communications of First Bank to react on this issue were not responded to.
