Airtel wins big at African Cristal Awards

Airtel Nigeria said that it received the ‘Grand Prix’ award and three other prizes in the telecoms category at the 2018 African Cristal Awards for its smart recharge campaign.

According to a statement by the firm, its smart recharge campaign themed ‘Prayer Warrior (Amin)’ won the Grand Prix, Grand Cristal and a gold medal while Monitoring Spirit (Whatchu Doing?) got a silver award.

The Chief Commercial Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Ahmad Mohkles, was quoted in the statement as saying that the awards reflected Airtel’s passion to connect with its major stakeholders in an emotional, creative and innovative manner.

He said, “As a key stakeholder in the society, we keep looking for innovative and creative ways to celebrate our customers, join in their successes and victories as well as empower them to fulfil their dreams and realise their full potential.

“Airtel will continue to inspire narratives that will enthrone customers as kings just as we will continue to offer innovative and bespoke value offerings that will make life simpler, better and more enjoyable for telecoms consumers in Nigeria.”

He noted further that the Airtel Smart Recharge campaign relived love and child-mother bond through a storytelling approach.
