Prof. Babalola, Bowen Varsity boss, lauds Glo

Telecommunications giant, Globacom, has received encomiums from the Vice Chancellor of Bowen University, Professor Jonathan Oyebamiji Babalola.

The VC, who played host to the Enterprise Sales team of the company at the University campus in Iwo, Osun State noted that Globacom had been consistent with the provision of digital services to the University over the past several years.

He expressed pleasure with Globacom’s commitment to the provision of uninterrupted services to the institution while soliciting for support for its CSR projects that will aid the university in the delivery of its mandate of producing better products.

Regional Enterprise Business Lead, South West, Globacom, Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, in his remarks said Globacom “is a digital solutions company and the largest integrated telecommunications service provider in Nigeria servicing Enterprises, SME’s, Big Sized Corporates, Public Sector Organisations, Universities and millions of individuals all over Nigeria”.

He added that Glo had been at the forefront of pioneering revolutionary changes in the telecommunications industry in Nigeria for over 21 years, adding that “Glo is primarily responsible for the massive telephone penetration that the country has witnessed over the decades. Because of Globacom, every Nigerian today can afford a telephone line”.

He equally noted that the digital solutions provider also pioneered numerous innovations which have contributed to the revolutionary changes witnessed in the Nigerian telecommunications industry including the construction of Globacom’s wholly owned international submarine cable, Glo 1.

Odejobi therefore enjoined the university to improve on its partnership with Globacom in the area of the provision of digital services like Glo LMS, Toll-Free Data and Mobility services to take the institution to the next level.
