20 Students Die In Motor Accident On Their Way To Museum

Twenty students, two teachers and a driver from Government Day Secondary School Misau, Bauchi State, have died in a motor accident.

The incident occurred on Tuesday along the Jigawa-Kano express way in Gaya Local Government Area of Kano state.

Spokesman for the Bauchi state police, uwal Datti, confirmed this to Channels Television.

According to him, the students were embarking on an excursion trip to a museum known as Gidan Hausa in Kano state when the school bus collided with a trailer.

One student and a teacher are also critically injured.

A mass funeral prayer was, however, observed for the deceased on Tuesday evening in Misau Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
