What you need to know about Nigerian Air Force recruitment guidelines

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced guidelines for its 2024 recruitment exercise for both Trades and Non-Trades men and women.

According to a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services, Mr. Olanrewaju Saka, the recruitment exercise, which began on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, will conclude on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

The statement highlighted that application forms and other relevant information are available online, free of charge, through the Air Force’s recruitment portal: www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. Prospective candidates are required to complete the application process online.

Eligible applicants for the Non-Trades category must be Nigerian male or female aged between 18 and 22 years, while those applying for the Trades category must be aged 18 to 25 years.

Special positions in the Nigerian Air Force such as Imam, Chaplain, drivers, and mechanics require applicants to be between 18 and 28 years old as of September 20, 2025.

Additionally, applicants must be single and meet height requirements—1.66 meters for males and 1.63 meters for females. They are also required to provide their National Identification Number (NIN) or Bank Verification Number (BVN).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Selection Board Interview at a later date and location, which will be communicated through the recruitment portal. Applicants are encouraged to regularly visit the portal for updates and further inquiries.
