NSCDC arrests ‘soldier,’ two others for alleged burglary in Kwara

Kwara Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it has arrested one 41-year- old AbdulKadir Bolaji and two other suspects for alleged burglary in Lakele community, Oro in Irepodun local government area.

Abdulkadir, the command added, has been parading himself as a soldier before his arrest.

The other suspects are Olalekan Adeniyi (32) and Dare Ajiboye.

Olalekan is said to owns a shop where stolen items are allegedly being displayed and sold to unsuspected buyers as Tokunbo materials while Dare Ajiboye (31) who claims to be a deejay is also working as sales boy at Olalekan shop.
In a statement, spokesperson of the command Babawale Afolabi said that three suspects and other, now at large were responsible for numerous cases of burglary and theft that have become rampart in Lakele area, Oro.
He stated further that efforts of the community and the NSCDC paid off recently when some of the stolen items were found at a shop in that community.

He said that further investigations revealed that stolen items from  burglary and house breaking are being sold at that shop.

Items recovered from the shop include plasma televisions, play stations, cctv cameras( 360 degree) among others.

He added that the command had commenced manhunt for other members of the hand while further investigations continue.
