A youth group, Coalition of Concerned Northern Youths and Students, has distanced itself from participating in the upcoming plan nationwide protest.National Coordinator of the Coalition, Jibril Bello, made this known on Wednesday during a news conference in Kano.

According to him, the association took the unanimous decision after its Annual General Meeting in Kano.

Bello expressed satisfaction with the policies and plans of the President Bola Tinubu-led Administration in the educational sector, particularly the introduction of the National Education Loans Fund scheme.

He urged his fellow students and youths to refrain from participating in the protest, citing uncertainty about the organisers’ intentions and potential violence.

He said: “The planned protest organisers are unnamed and actually the aim of the protest is also unknown to us, and we are uncertain whether their intentions are peaceful or violent.
