Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s estranged wife, May Edochie, has addressed misconceptions surrounding her personal life, emphasizing her commitment to marriage and family.
In an interview with comedian Ayo Makun, May, who suffered the tragic loss of her first son last year, clarified that she does not advocate for divorce or separation, despite her own marital challenges.
May disclosed that some men wrongly believe she is influencing their wives to consider separation, but she affirmed her deep-rooted belief in the institution of marriage.
“I love family, I love marriage, and I see it as the basis for family,” she explained.
“Without family, there would be no you or me. I am not in any way advocating divorce or separation; let me categorically state here that I am not an advocate of divorce.”
Furthermore, May opened up about her approach to personal issues, noting her preference for handling matters privately rather than on social media.
She attributes her resilience to a robust support network, which includes her family, friends, and a loyal online community.
“Having a positive mindset is key for me. I embrace authenticity, I do not take my personal issues to social media,” she shared. “My family and friends are always there for me, and my online family members act as a pillar, ready to stand by me.”
