Veteran Hollywood actor, James Earl Jones, famous for Mufasa in Disney’s The Lion King is dead.
Earl Jones peacefully died at his residence on Monday, September 9 2024, at the age of 93.
Jones was famously known for being the voice of the Star Wars villain Darth Vader and providing the voice of Mufasa in Disney’s The Lion King (1994).
He starred in many films including Field of Dreams, Conan the Barbarian, The Lion King, Coming To America and The Greatest.
The legendary actor was born in Mississippi in January 1931 and survived by his son, Flynn Earl Jones. He publicly spoke about his long battle with type 2 diabetes a few years back.
