President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reappointment of Alexander Okoh as the director-general of the Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE) for another four years.
Laolu Akande, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
The renewal takes effect from April 10, 2021.
Akande added that in the last four years, BPE has witnessed a notable invigoration in its activities.
“President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Mr. Alexander Ayoola Okoh as the Director-General, Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) for a second term of four years in accordance with the provision of Section 17 (1)(a) and (2)(a) of the Public Enterprise (Privatization & Commercialization) Act, 1999,” the statement read.
Okoh was first appointed the director-general of the BPE on April 13, 2017.
Before his appointment, he was the managing partner of Ashford & McGuire Consulting Ltd, an indigenous management consulting firm.
