Julius Ihonvbere
The Speaker, House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas on Tuesday announced principal officers of the 10th House, tapping Prof. Julius Ihonvbere as Majority Leader.
Ihonvbere is the lawmaker representing Owan Federal Constituency of Edo State and was the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Basic Education in the 9th House.
Ihonvbere was also the former Special Adviser on Project Monitoring and Implementation to Nigeria’s ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and He was two-time PDP governorship aspirant in Edo State.
He lost his first governorship primaries in 2007 to former governor of the state, Prof. Osariemen Osunbor.
He also announced, Usman Bello Kumo, as the Chief Whip of the House, while Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims is the Deputy Majority Leader.
Adewumi Onanuga has been named House Deputy Whip, while Kingsley Chinda is House’s Minority Leader.
Also, Ali Isa is the House’s Minority Whip, while Aliyu Sani Madaki id the House’s Deputy Minority Leader.
