Bobrisky’s release postponed, new date revealed

The anticipated release of Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, from prison has been postponed.

Fans were expecting him to be home on Monday, July 29, but the date has been extended due to an alleged miscalculation.

Bobrisky, who was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12, 2024, after admitting to Naira abuse, faced disappointment when his release did not proceed as planned.

Content creator and social commentator Tosin Silverdam reported that the delay was caused by an error in calculating the release date.

Silverdam added that Bobrisky’s team, who arrived to collect him from prison, were informed of the mistake.

The new release date is now set for Monday, August 5, 2024.
