“APC didn’t come to address our issues” – Charly Boy blows hot

Nigerian singer Charly Boy has stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has no real plans to address the challenges facing people of the country.

Charly Boy said this in his comments on a video on Instagram featuring Nollywood actor Kenneth Okonkwo’s recent interview on Channels Television.

In the interview, Okonkwo criticized the government’s handling of fuel prices, noting,

“They initiated the biggest protest in the country over a 20 naira increase in fuel prices during Goodluck Jonathan’s time.

“Now, with the removal of the fuel subsidy, prices have skyrocketed to 1000 naira, even 1200 naira in Lagos, and fuel is scarce. What kind of government is this?”

Okonkwo further commented on the current protests against hunger and hardship, suggesting that the president’s speech was inadequate and preferable to remain unsaid.

Charly Boy praised Okonkwo’s statements, condemning the APC for imposing themselves on the people without intent to solve their problems.

He wrote in his caption, “Well said, my brother KennethI salute you. Nobody can give what they don’t have. APC didn’t come to address our issues; they imposed themselves to build their private empires on our backs.”

He criticized the leadership’s approach, stating,

“Leaders with toxic behaviors thrive on control rather than inspiration. They have seized power by force and intend to rule us by force. Nigerian youths, we must dismantle this mafia or peace will remain elusive. Nonsense! Their forefathers.”
