Access Holdings Plc has declared an interim dividend for the first half of the year, on the back of rising profits.

In the audited account submitted to the Nigerian Exchange on Saturday, the company posted gross earnings of N940 billion, higher than the N591.8 billion recorded in the same period in 2022.

Profit before tax also increased from N97.7 billion to N167.6 billion. Profit after tax similarly increased to N135.4 billion, from N88.7billion.

Although the group said its impaired loans increased from N176 billion to N218billion, the gross risk to assets fell from 3.15 percent to 2.82 percent.

The group announced an interim dividend of N0.30k to shareholders, according to its notice to the exchange.

Shareholders who will receive the dividend on 19 October are those whose names appear in the register by 5 October.

Noteworthy is that it is paying less than the N0.50k announced by its peers such as UBA, Zenith and GTB. Only Stanbuc IBTC has announnced the biggest interim dividend of N1.50.
