What it takes to get rich, famous in Nigeria – Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi

Media personality Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi has stirred online discussions after revealing what it takes to achieve quick wealth and fame in Nigeria.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter), Gbemi stated that to rise rapidly in the country, one must be willing to abandon their “home training, shame, and morals.”

She then posed a rhetorical question to her followers, asking if that was the kind of success they truly desired.

“If you want to be rich and famous quickly in this country, you have to lose your home training/shame/morals. Is that the kind you want though?” she tweeted.

Her statement resonated with many social media users, who flooded the comment section agreeing with her take. Some noted that Nigeria’s system seems to reward controversial and morally questionable behavior, while others joked about embracing the trend.

This isn’t the first time Gbemi has shared candid opinions on social dynamics. Last year, she revealed that she turned down direct messages from wealthy and good-looking footballers due to her fear of famous men exposing private conversations online.
