Hon Osonwa Launches Solar-Powered Street Light In Arochukwu Community

The member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has launched the installation of solar-powered street lights in Ukwuakwu Ututu, Arochukwu Local Government Area.

This initiative is part of his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Idika Ike, Hon. Osonwa assured the residents that this project marks the beginning of significant development for the Ututu community.

Community Head HRH Ezeogo Eke John expressed gratitude to Hon. Osonwa for addressing the community’s needs, emphasising the critical necessity for street lighting. He recounted a tragic incident where an elderly woman fell on the dark roads at night, underscoring the importance of this initiative.

The youth leader Mr. Uche Samuel Agwu also voiced his appreciation, noting that this is the first time a member of the House of Representatives has implemented a project in their community over the years. He urged Hon. Osonwa to consider improvements to their roads as well.

The contractor SLOBAJ Engineering Construction Company commenced installation immediately after a prayer ceremony. The official commissioning of the project is scheduled for the end of the month.
