Onuigbo intervenes as Kalu, Otti’s feud gets intense

A former federal lawmaker, Mr Sam Onuigbo, has intervened in the political dispute between Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Benjamin Kalu, and Abia State Governor, Alex Otti.

He urged those fueling the crisis to desist, warning that their actions could create unnecessary tension in the state.

Onuigbo, now a board member of the South East on the North East Development Commission (NEDC), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja.

He said that Kalu and Otti have been working together cordially to bring development to Abia State.

He described them as the state’s best assets, whose relationship should be allowed to flourish for the state’s growth.

Onuigbo dismissed claims that Kalu’s statement about the All Progressives Congress taking over Abia in 2027 was meant to create a crisis.

He stated that the duo’s cordial relationship, built on mutual respect and a passion for development, would not be sacrificed for political gain.

He warned that attempts to disrupt their partnership could hinder the state’s progress.
