Manchester United crumbled to 1-2 defeat to Brighton away from home on Saturday to continue their dismal performance from last season.
United managed to beat Fulham 1-0 at Old Trafford last week in their opening game from a late goal.
Brighton opened the scoring on Saturday in the 32nd minute. Danny Welbeck received a good pass inside the box before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper for a brilliant finish.
In the 59th minute, Welbeck showed good awareness inside the box as he latched on to a cross from a resulting free kick. He jumped high but his towering header lacked a little bit of accuracy and glanced off the crossbar.
United equalised a minute later. Amad Diallo displayed superb quick feet and dribbling as he jinked his way through multiple challenges and took a shot from inside the box, which was deflected and went past stranded Jason Steele to make it 1-1.
United scored another goal in the 70th minute but it was ruled out for offside.
Brighton scored their second goal five minutes into added time. Joao Pedro burst into the box to get on the end of a whipped in cross from Simon Adingra and scored magnificently from close range into the left side of the goal to make it 2-1.
