Nigerian actor, producer, and digital creator Timini Egbuson has announced that he is taking a break from acting.

The actor in a recent podcast interview with Kamsi Nnamani, the content creator, said he has been working tirelessly for 14 years with minimal sleep and breaks.

He also announced his plan for a sabbatical next year.

“I only rest when I go out at night. I only sleep five hours to six hours a day. And then keep the work going. But next year I am going on a sabbatical. I have been acting for the past fourteen years consistently,” he said.

“There has never been a downtime or a time when I am just chilling. And I did not say that with pride. I say that with all humility. It has just been God.”

In a recent interview, Timini boasted to be the “biggest actor in Africa” with what he has achieved so far, claiming he cleared the way for “a lot of new school actors”.

The 36-year-old film star said he had been “acting consistently for fifteen years without having to take time away from the screens or a period where he fell off”.

The TV star argued that his “achievements over the years” are what makes him the “biggest actor in Africa”.

Born in Bayelsa State, South-South Nigeria, Timini has made a name for himself in the Nigerian movie industry for his acting skills.

The younger brother of actress Dakore Akande, attended Adebayo Mokuolu College, Lagos and studied Psychology at the University of Lagos. He graduated in 2011.

Timini made his acting debut in 2010 on Tinsel, an M-Net soap opera.

He has since acted in a plethora of hit movies like ‘Breaded Life’, ‘Elevator Baby’, ‘Introducing the Kuju’s’, ‘Dinner At My Place’, and ‘A Tribe Called Judah’.

He won Best Actor in a drama for his role in the movie by Toyin Abraham ‘Elevator baby.’ He has also won other numerous awards.
