Justice Misitura Bolaji-Yusuf, one of the five judges at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), has shown she is a brave woman and not afraid of anybody and don’t care whose axe is gored.

While delivering her judgement at the Tribunal on Wednesday, she lampooned Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi for lack of evidence and trying to muzzle the court through the social media.

According to her, the petitioners (Atiku, Obi, APM) did not understand the explanation of the first respondent or were just fixated on their belief that they won the election without any cogent and credible evidence.

She said they did not even bother to place such credible evidence before this court.

Bolaji-Yusuf asked Atiku, Obi and others if they were expecting the court to gather evidence for them from the streets or from the market.

She also wondered if they were expecting the court to be persuaded or intimidated by threats on social media.

“Were they expecting the court to go and gather evidence from the street or the market? Or to be persuaded or intimidated by threats on social media. That is not the way of the court,” she lashed out.

Justice Bolaji-Yusuf added that it was clear that the petitions from the onset were engaged in a wild goose chase and inquisitorial adventure.
