Transcorp Group Chairman Tony Elumelu Commemorates World Environment Day with Symbolic Tree Planting at Transcorp Hilton Abuja

Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of Transcorp Group, reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship by hosting a special tree planting ceremony to celebrate World Environment Day. The event was graced by the Chairman, Transcorp Group, Tony Elumelu, CFR, who personally planted a tree on the premises of the iconic Transcorp Hilton Abuja, a symbolic act, and a reminder that trees play an essential role in mitigating the impact of climate change.

World Environment Day, celebrated annually on the 5th of June, is a global initiative that encourages worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. As an organisation that is committed to improving lives and transforming society, reducing carbon footprints, and preserving the natural resources that make our planet thrive, highlights Transcorp Hotels’ dedication to the United Nation’s Sustainability Development Goals, particularly those related to responsible consumption and production, climate action, and life on land.
