3-yr-old boy died as Another building collapses in Lagos

One of the houses marked for demolition located on the Lagos Island collapsed yesterday, killed a three-year-old boy. The deceased, according to neighbours, is a twin who had gone to bed Monday night only to be trapped under the collapsed structure at the popular Oju-Ina area of Agarawu, Lagos Island.

The boy, Kehinde Okedairo, who was sleeping with his mother in their one-room apartment, lost his life when the three-storey building caved in and fell on their bungalow.

The chairman of the community development association in the area, Fatai Oriade, wondered why the state government failed to demolish the building as planned.
